About the film
A quiet high school perfectionist lives by a chant: seven classes, eat, study, sleep. When a test comes back marked 91 in red pen, a second version of her steps in to keep the rhythm, and she has to decide which one of them gets to be real.
One's days run to a beat. Seven periods, dinner, homework, bed, and the chant that holds it all together. Then a 91 lands on her desk in red pen, and the rhythm breaks. Something wearing her face, with the test stapled to its forehead, sits down at the dinner table in her place. Her parents don't notice. Neither does her teacher. "91" is a short psychological horror film about perfectionism, the pressure to be a certain kind of child, and the question a girl asks the thing that replaced her: who were you before they told you who you could be?
“Who were you before they told you who you could be?”
